Itinerary
Day 1
Monday 11th October
Depart Cheadle at 0830 Travelling to the Scottish Border. We will have a lunch stop at Gretna Green, scene of many a runaway marriage and visit the famous Old Blacksmiths shop and continue to our hotel in Ayrshire arriving late afternoon in time to freshen up before dinner. The 4* Menzies hotel located on the outskirts of Irvine has totally been refurbished Day 2
Tuesday 12th October
We will depart after a full Scottish Breakfast to visit the Burns Heritage Park based around the life of Robbie Burns. We will visit his cottage and other sites portrayed in his poetry. We will spend the afternoon at the seaside town of Ayr. Day 3
Wednesday 13th October
After Breakfast we depart for a short journey to Ardrossan for a 50 minute crossing to the isle of Arran. The Island has been referred to as "Scotland in Miniture" because of the similarity in landscape with the mainland. High Mountains in the north and scenic lowlands and coastline in the south. Most of the day will be spent on Arran Day 4
Thursday 14th October
Today we travel to Glasgow where a local guide will spend the morning with us revealing the citys facinating history. We will have time in the afternoon for shopping and a stroll Day 5
Friday 15th October
Today after our full scottish breakfast and checking out, we will journey homeward stopping en route in Dumfries and will arrive back early evening
